This is a Hybrid role working from any of our Waracle offices 2 days a week.

As Waracle continues on our ambitious growth journey, we are evolving how we engineer digital products, embracing cutting-edge AI and exploring shared risk-and-reward partnerships with our clients. To support this next chapter, we are creating a pivotal, highly visible leadership role to serve as the strategic anchor across our client delivery infrastructure. Sitting as a key member of our Operations Leadership Group (OLG) and reporting directly to the Director of Strategy + Innovation, you will cultivate high-trust enterprise relationships, champion delivery excellence, and connect real-world delivery insights directly to the future of our business model. Key aspects of the role include:

• Cultivating trusted senior partnerships: Build authentic, collaborative relationships with C-suite sponsors and procurement leaders, clearly articulating strategic ROI and the tangible value of partnering with Waracle.

• Championing portfolio health & transparent delivery: Maintain an empathetic, real-time pulse on account health, delivery trajectory, and team sentiment—enabling confident, swift decision-making without unnecessary red tape.

• Strategic intervention & unblocking teams: Step in with insight, emotional intelligence, and political diplomacy to dismantle enterprise blockers, navigate complex client challenges, and restore team momentum.

• Commercial strategy & alignment: Act as the pragmatic sounding board on high-stakes proposals, Statements of Work, and modern risk-reward engagements, ensuring commitments balance ambitious client outcomes with team well-being and delivery feasibility.

• Driving sustainable commercial value: Support account growth and margin health across the portfolio, spotting opportunities to balance forecasts and achieve win-win commercial outcomes.

• Clear focus and empowerment: Your focus is purely on strategic portfolio assurance, executive enablement, and commercial orchestration; day-to-day line management of delivery practitioners and hands-on billable project management are handled by dedicated craft leadership.

What you'll bring

• Strategic delivery background: Strong foundational experience within digital product delivery or software engineering—including an understanding of how modern AI tools enhance development cycles—giving you the insight to gauge realistic timelines and support high-quality outcomes.

• Consultancy & client-facing experience: A proven background leading delivery or multi-stream portfolios within digital consultancies, technology transformation agencies, or professional services environments.

• Commercial and contractual fluency: Experience shaping, negotiating, and assuring modern digital consulting contracts (such as outcome-based, milestone-driven, Time & Materials, or shared risk-and-reward partnerships).

• Empathetic & collaborative problem-solving: High emotional intelligence and an inclusive, clear communication style that brings calm and constructive clarity to high-stakes escalations and complex stakeholder environments.

• Enterprise influence: Natural credibility and diplomacy when partnering with procurement heads, technology leaders, and senior executive stakeholders to turn commercial discussions into long-term, mutually rewarding partnerships.
