You’ll be expected to:
Hardware & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of our IT hardware assets, including servers, laptops, desktops, and networking equipment. You'll manage installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and conduct regular audits to ensure robust and reliable infrastructure. This also includes enabling and managing BYOD for team members.
Essential Technical Support: Provide critical on-site and remote support, responding to tickets and requests to ensure a high-quality service. You'll set up new devices, configure network access, and manage user permissions, always seeking ways to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Networking & Security Oversight: Manage office networks and VPN configurations, ensuring secure connectivity across multiple sites for both Waracle and sensitive client projects. You'll perform regular maintenance, updates, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Office IT Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors for repairs and purchases, assist in the planning and execution of IT projects (like office moves and system migrations), and ensure our Microsoft Teams and Google Meet AV solutions function flawlessly.
Software Infrastructure & Automation: Proactively maintain critical systems like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 suite, and a wide array of developer tools. You'll assist with license management, ensure compliance with privacy and infosec regulations, and maintain automation systems (e.g., Zapier, n8n) to reduce manual overhead and constantly improve workflows.
Job requirements
Proven experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role, preferably within a corporate or digital consultancy environment.
Proficiency in hardware and network management (servers, laptops, desktops, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS, and network security.
Experience troubleshooting and supporting hardware and software issues, both remotely and on-site.
Familiarity with both Apple and Windows operating systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive attitude towards automation and continuous improvement.
Willingness to travel to other offices as required.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including common cloud services, billing, and access control (IAM).
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
