Key aspects of the role include:

• Security Testing & Education: Drive internal security awareness, run phishing simulations, and proactively identify and work to resolve vulnerabilities across the business ecosystem.

• AI Tooling Ownership: Own the commercial and security lifecycle of internal AI tools. Monitor consumption, control throttling, manage API costs, and ensure teams are using AI platforms cost-effectively.

• AI Enablement & Selection: Act as a key advisor to the business on AI adoption. Evaluate use cases, select the right AI tools for the job, and establish safe-use guidelines to protect data pipelines and prevent leakage.

• Independent Audit & Compliance: Lead technical audit preparations and continuous evidence gathering for Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001, acting as an independent assessor to our internal IT support team.

• Incident & Threat Management: Act as the lead first responder during cybersecurity incidents—guiding containment, recovery, and clear reporting while proactively adapting our defences against emerging threats. Leading and evolving our Security Operations Centre (SOC).

• Commercial Pre-Sales Support: Advise on client security questionnaires and demonstrate our robust cyber and AI security posture to prospective partners.

What you'll bring

• Hybrid Security Background: Solid experience in Information Security and IT infrastructure, backed by a strong understanding of how to safeguard networks, secure coding practices, and cloud environments.

• AI & Cloud Commercial Awareness: Hands-on experience or a strong interest in AI governance, SaaS vendor management, supplier management, and managing API costs or usage throttling.

• Compliance Familiarity: Proven experience preparing for technical audits and working with industry frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001.

• Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to demystify and confidently articulate complex security and AI concepts to clients, sales teams, and internal engineers.

• Incident Response: A cool-headed, collaborative approach to threat hunting, incident response, containment, and post-incident reporting.

• Enablement Mindset: You enjoy working directly with teams to help them adopt modern technology safely and efficiently, using security frameworks to enable business growth
