This is a Hybrid role working from the Bristol office 2 days per week.
The Opportunity
As a Lead Developer, you will define squad-level technical architecture and technical approach. You are a technical leader who ensures quality, security, and compliance across your projects while fostering a psychologically safe and collaborative environment for your team to thrive.
This role will be pivotal in building, delivering, and driving the security of our mobile platform, while being an integral part of our full-stack mobile practice, contributing to end-to-end development and security excellence across both front-end and back-end mobile systems.
Key Aspects of the Role
Design and Delivery of a World-Class Security Framework: Leading the design and delivery of a comprehensive, world-class security framework, including associated services such as penetration testing, research, consultancy, and advisory engagements.
Technical Leadership: Defining project-level technical architecture and approach for squads while anticipating risks in scaling systems.
Strategic Planning: Translating business objectives into technical strategy and ensuring technical roadmaps meet long-term client goals.
Stakeholder Management: Facilitating workshops to understand requirements and managing expectations around scope, budget, and priorities.
Team Empowerment: Leading a squad/project and being accountable for delivery while ensuring a collaborative and psychologically safe environment.
Operational Excellence: Accountable for technical delivery outcomes and proactively making trade-offs on scope to maintain delivery pace.
Practice Leadership: Owning Community of Practice (CoP) initiatives and being accountable for the definition of coding standards and shared practices.

What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a collaborative leader who thrives on variety and technical excellence. You should bring:
Mobile Platform Security Expertise: Experience in mobile platform security, threat modelling, and mitigation techniques.
Security Posture Assessment: Capability to conduct regular reviews of our mobile application security posture using hands-on experience.
Penetration Testing & Tooling: Experience developing and maintaining penetration testing tools, scripts, policies, and procedures.
Mobile Security Standards Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mobile app security standards across Android and iOS.
Desirable knowledge & experience
Mobile Development & DevSecOps: Familiarity with mobile development practices, DevSecOps tooling, testing, and automation frameworks.
Mobile Security Tooling Expertise: Deep knowledge and practical experience using mobile security tools.
Authentication & Cryptography: Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, encryption, and cryptographic patterns.
Security Research & Innovation: Experience proactively researching and evaluating emerging technologies within the security landscape.
