Waracle are looking for a Principal Delivery Manager for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

This is a Hybrid role working from any of our UK offices 2 days a week.
The Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Delivery Manager with a "Programme Director" mindset to lead a high-impact, client-side Public Sector projects. This isn't just about managing tasks; it’s about bridging the gap between high-level strategy and execution, rapidly turning agreed direction into executable work packages.

Key aspects of the role include:
Strategic Mobilisation: Leading a time-bound squad to convert high-level strategy into actionable delivery.
Public Sector Excellence: Delivering complex digital transformation within government bodies, ensuring strict adherence to GDS guidelines.
Executive Influence: Acting as the primary bridge to senior client executives and Senior Leadership Teams to report progress and surface strategic risks.
Orchestration: Managing a mix of internal digital staff and third-party vendors across parallel initiatives, ensuring alignment and managing dependencies.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring:
Expertise in Delivery: Proven experience in initiating and scaling delivery models (Agile/Scaled frameworks) within complex environments.
Mobilisation Skills: A track record of standing up new workstreams and achieving a sustainable delivery rhythm before transitioning to operations.
Public Sector Knowledge: Deep experience delivering business-critical IT transformation within a public sector framework.
Sector Specialism: Ideally, you possess knowledge within the financial and pensions sectors (FCA and GDPR).
Collaborative Leadership: Exceptional ability to engage with and influence C-suite stakeholders while mediating high-level conflict
