  • Hybrid
    • Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
  • Operations

Job description

Waracle are looking for a Senior Casting Partner for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

This is a Hybrid role working from our Glasgow office 2 days a week.

As our Senior Casting Partner, you will sit at the very heart of Waracle’s people community, shaping how we nurture, align, and match our technical talent to rewarding client projects. Working collaboratively with leaders across Delivery and Sales, you will champion individual career growth, bring balance to project resourcing, and ensure our multidisciplinary teams thrive together in an open, supportive environment.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Collaborative Forecasting: Leading our weekly planning rhythm to align project needs with consultant availability, constructively navigating overlaps, and designing balanced solutions.

  • Bench Support & Development: Actively supporting colleagues between client engagements, balancing commercial health with individual development goals and meaningful redeployment plans.

  • Constructive Problem-Solving: Acting as a trusted, empathetic sounding board for delivery teams, facilitating thoughtful discussions to resolve resourcing trade-offs fairly.

  • Insightful Data Stewardship: Proactively auditing PSA system data, identifying trends, and ensuring reliable insight to guide inclusive talent decisions. •

  • Commercial Mindfulness: Monitoring margins and resource utilisation across practice areas, suggesting healthy adjustments that protect both project success and team well-being.

  • Strategic Team Design: Partnering on bids and proposals to shape well-rounded, future-ready team compositions and explore creative skills alternatives.

  • Workflow Improvements: Identifying opportunities to streamline resourcing routines, championing automation and practical changes to make everyday work smoother.

  • Community Contribution: Collaborating across our wider operations team and supporting ad-hoc initiatives that support our growing community.

Job requirements

Research shows that underrepresented groups tend to only apply for roles that they believe they meet 100% of the criteria for. At Waracle, we want to buck that trend! We hire for passion, potential and mindset as much as credentials. If you think you'd be incredible in the role, then apply - even if you don't think you tick every box.

What you'll bring

  • Resourcing & Talent Background: A strong background in resourcing, workforce planning, or talent allocation/acquisition, with hands-on experience working with technical roles across software engineering, data and digital.

  • Technical Acumen: A genuine understanding of modern digital technologies and development disciplines, paired with the intuition to match specialists with project environments where they can excel.

  • Commercial & Margin Optimisation: Commercial awareness with a focus on margin optimisation, rate structures, and balanced utilisation across consulting teams.

  • Collaborative Relationship Building: Warm, empathetic communication skills with a track record of resolving complex stakeholder trade-offs and navigating diverse perspectives.

  • Systems & Data Fluency: Practical experience with PSA platforms, skills matrices, or applicant tracking systems, alongside an eye for spotting data patterns and maintaining accuracy.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Curiosity and initiative to identify process inefficiencies and propose automation to enhance the consultant and stakeholder experience.

What to expect from our hiring process

  • 1. First Hello: An informal chat with your dedicated Talent Attraction Partner to talk about Waracle, what you want out of your next move, salary, benefits, and office hybrid working model.

  • 2. Talking Impact: A collaborative deep dive into how you solve problems, work with others, and raise the bar, guided by our core values and competency framework.

  • 3. Craft Showcase: A chance to demonstrate your real-world expertise. This will be a practical presentation.

Your Talent Attraction Partner will be in your corner through every step right up to your Welcome Ritual on day one
