Job description
Waracle is a world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.
We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.
We're looking for an exceptional Senior Automation QA to join our dynamic team in London (with a great hybrid setup, of course!). This is a pivotal role for someone who brings technical mastery, strategic thinking, and a true passion for quality across the whole software development journey.
You won't just be hands-on with testing; you'll be a cornerstone of our project teams, ensuring the highest standards for complex digital products. Beyond that, you'll be a key contributor to our QA practice, coaching peers, defining strategic approaches, and championing a culture of continuous improvement. If you're a proactive problem-solver, a natural mentor, and a thought leader in quality assurance, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic QA Leadership: You'll define and drive comprehensive test strategies, making sure we have robust coverage for everything from how features work to how fast and secure they are. You'll apply your expert knowledge of SDLC and Agile to guide the team and keep us sharp.
Advanced Technical & Automation Skills: You'll be highly skilled in functional, non-functional, and 'white-box' testing. A big part of your role will be creating or enhancing our automation frameworks, and you'll proactively review code to ensure it's efficient, reusable, and easy to understand. (If you've got Playwright experience, that's a significant advantage!).
Ensuring Quality Excellence: You'll be the expert in handling defects, leading efforts to get them triaged quickly, and making sure we track everything properly. You're great at spotting and resolving potential blockers before they become big headaches, keeping everyone clear on expectations.
Mentorship & Collaboration: This is where the human touch really comes in! You'll actively mentor our junior QA engineers, coaching them on best practices, how to create great test plans, and how to use our tools effectively. You'll help foster a culture of continuous learning and teamwork within our multidisciplinary teams.
Innovation & Thought Leadership: You're always looking for what's next! You'll proactively suggest and help integrate new testing tools, and you'll become a true expert in our project domains. If you're keen to share your knowledge, we'd love you to be a thought leader and even speak at industry events.
