Job description

Waracle are looking for a Senior QA Engineer for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

This is a
Hybrid role working from our Sofia office 2 days a week.

Are you a technical quality leader passionate about shaping robust QA strategies and nurturing team talent? As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing scalable automation frameworks, embedding quality into every stage of development, and elevating engineering practices. If you thrive on collaboration, driving innovation, and championing best practices in an inclusive, supportive environment, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Risk: Defining tailored QA approaches for complex features, conducting risk analysis, and guiding exploratory testing initiatives.

  • Framework Architecture: Designing and implementing modular, reusable, and scalable automation components while seamlessly integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

  • NFR Integration: Autonomously designing and automating tests for performance, security, and accessibility across the development lifecycle.

  • Technical Influence & Collaboration: Partnering with developers to enhance system testability through effective logging, test hooks, and collaborative problem-solving.

  • Mentorship & Growth: Supporting and encouraging team members through constructive peer code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

  • Defect Leadership: Facilitating supportive defect triage sessions and prioritising issues based on core business impact.

  • Community Initiatives: Facilitating QA learning sessions and leading community initiatives around accessibility, standards, and continuous improvement.

Research shows that underrepresented groups tend to only apply for roles that they believe they meet 100% of the criteria for. At Waracle, we want to buck that trend! We hire for passion, potential and mindset as much as credentials. If you think you'd be incredible in the role, then apply - even if you don't think you tick every box.
