This is a short term contract position (3 months) and requires hybrid working from our Glasgow office.
We are seeking a highly experienced QA professional with a balanced skill set in manual and automation testing, a strategic mindset, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. You will work on a high-impact project focusing on maintaining regression coverage, enhancing test automation suites, and collaborating on manual testing activities where needed. This is a hands-on role with an opportunity to influence testing strategy, tooling, and delivery practices.
You’ll be expected to:
Define and execute hybrid test strategies that integrate both manual and automated testing approaches.
Ensure robust coverage across functional, regression, non-functional, and security aspects.
Leverage SDLC and Agile principles to coach and support QA practices across the delivery lifecycle.
Conduct thorough manual testing of digital applications, including exploratory, functional, and non-functional testing.
Maintain and extend existing automated regression test suites using Selenium or equivalent tools.
Support test automation in pipelines, ensuring high visibility of test results and actionable feedback loops.
Own the defect lifecycle: review, triage, prioritise, and escalate defects as needed.
Anticipate risks, proactively remove blockers, and uphold test traceability and quality standards.
Liaise closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with project goals.
Provide clear, concise updates on test progress, risks, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements
Extensive experience as a Senior QA Engineer, ideally within a digital consultancy environment.
Strong expertise in both manual and automation testing, with particular strength in regression test automation.
Hands-on experience with Selenium (or equivalent tools), and API testing using Postman.
Proficiency in using SonarQube or similar tools for pipeline testing and static code analysis.
Solid understanding of QA best practices, Agile methodologies, and the full SDLC.
Proven ability to define, maintain, and execute robust manual and automated test strategies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to defect triage and resolution
Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, domains, and project environments.
