Contract Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract UX Designer for a focused, short-term project. This engagement will primarily involve defining and optimising core user journeys for a [mention brief project type, e.g., new web application / specific feature rollout / mobile app redesign]. We value a minimalist, user-centric approach that prioritises clarity and efficiency in user interactions.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented UX Designer to make a significant impact on a key project within a short timeframe. You will work closely with our project managers, developers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive and effective user experiences, with a strong emphasis on foundational UX deliverables.

What You'll Do:

  • Rapidly create detailed wireframes (low to mid-fidelity) that clearly articulate user interface structure and content hierarchy for key screens and interactions.

  • Develop comprehensive user flows that map out optimal user journeys through the application, identifying decision points and potential roadblocks.

  • Work collaboratively to understand project requirements and translate them into clear, actionable UX deliverables.

  • Apply a minimalist design philosophy, focusing on simplicity, clarity, and essential elements to enhance usability.

  • Iterate on designs based on internal feedback and project goals, ensuring a lean and efficient process.

  • Present and articulate design decisions to both internal teams and client stakeholders.

  • Ensure all UX deliverables are prepared for seamless handover to the development team

Job requirements

  • Dedicated UX design experience, preferably with a background in digital consultancies or fast-paced project environments.

  • Demonstrable expertise in creating clear, functional wireframes using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure RP).

  • Proven ability to map out and articulate complex user flows effectively.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work on wireframes and user flows, highlighting projects where a minimalist approach was applied or beneficial.

  • Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles and usability best practices.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and receive feedback constructively.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines.

  • A pragmatic and results-oriented mindset, focused on delivering impactful core UX deliverables.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with prototyping tools for basic interaction demonstration.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

  • Any experience or interest in user research activities (e.g., user interviews, usability testing).
